The NIU water ski team was founded about 5 years ago. Unfortunately,last year many of our key seniors graduated and many influential members left the team for various reasons. This has left only about six of the initial members to run the team, so we are trying to get the team back together and re-establish ourselves as a competitive group. We would love to have anyone who has a passion for waterskiing and wakeboarding join the team, and hopefully we can get things back to where they used to be.

We are currently a member of the AWSA Central Midwestern collegiate circuit and compete in about six tournaments each year, usually two or three in the spring and three or four in the fall. We compete in all three events for waterskiing, and we compete in wakeboarding and all of its offshoots (wakeskating, wakesurfing, roam boarding). We like to be a very balanced team and will gladly give our members time on the water no matter what water sport they love to do.
